Plain and Simple...UBIQ '09

This pick from UBIQ is a nice one. Since timbs are slowly dying out, there needs to be a new option as far as "the boot." Seems like that "boot" is turning into Nike ACG boots; but sadly, I am in no way a fan. These are a nice mix between chukkas and boots. The Fatima SLs will come in three leather colorways: black, white, and tan. And the plaid inner lining is a nice touch.

Reebok Omni Pump- Seven Deadly Sins Pack

Since we here at lawf don't mind occasional partaking of the deadly sins, I have taken a like to this new release. Earlier this week Reebok three of the pump omni lites from their "Seven Deadly Sins" Pack. Eack sin is represented by a separate color with the current releases being greed as electric yellow, pride as purple and sloth as azure. Each sneaker also includes corresponding lace locks and inserts. Lookout in August and September for the last four colors of this pack that will surely have you LUSTING.

Nike Blue Lobster

For those who are familiar with Nike's "Lobster Dunks," you will notice that these are similiar but with a blue colorway. These will be known as the "Blue Lobster Dunks." And yes, this is the actual packaging for the shoes. The shoes will come sealed in a plastic Hazmat bag in the custom concepts styrafoam casing. The shoes will also include a t-shirt, lace locks, and a hang tag. These are set to drop June 20th at the Concepts store; and if they are anything like Nike's last Lobster dunks, they will retail for about $150. These would be a hot pick up...

Jeremy Scott Adidas Originals: BY ORIGINALS NIZZA II HI PACK

Jeremy Scott does it again. Perpetuating his footwear designer steez, he creates these shoes, centering them around the familiar Afrikan motif of cultural pride. Using Kente pattern for one pair and globe layout for the other, the designs point to the outside world as a source of inspiration. Way to think outside of the box Mr. Scott. When I find them, I'm going to cop them. Believe that.

Nike Dunks Hi Premium

The London based streetwear brand Cassette Playa has for the second time now done a collab with Nike, producing these very unique and innovative sneakers. I don't have much to say about them except I'm feeling them. They will be released in October at various shops and a few select Footlocker locations.

Vans June '09 Releases

Half cabs are always a good look from Vans. They are hot and yet do not cost a grip like other sneakers. Along with the two different half cab colorways, Vans will also be releasing an edition of the TNT II Mids. This edition will sport a black upper threaded with yellow, and will feature "Anti Hero" on the heel. These can currently be purchased at HUF, and will hit select Vans retailers in the near future. 

Nike SB Mid-Top Premiums: A Love Story

Once upon a time, there was a lad by the name of Lincoln Ashire Winsbury Ferginton (although he was usually called 'Lawf' for short). Lawf was known for his monogamous relationship with his footwear, that meaning he only had one pair of motherf****** kicks. How he kept this relationship going for so long, I know not, but he did so until his 18th birthday when his brother sat him down for a talk.

"Look Lawf," his brother started, "I know how much you love your sneakers. I mean, you guys share so much history. But I think...I think it's time you moved on."

"No," Lawf shouted, "I love my babies dearly! They've been there for me when no one else was!"

"I understand Lawf," his brother muttered, "but look at them. They're on their last leg. And in all honesty, they're kind of played out. No one wants to be seen rocking some else's sloppy seconds Lawf. Think about it."

Lawf looked down at his feet and although he hated what his brother was saying, he knew deep in his heart that his words were true. His all white Air Force Ones were now a dingy shade of Mother of Pearl, the shoes strings gray, the toe was scuffed beyond recognition, and the toe was *gasp* creased. Tears filled Lawf's eyes as he looked at his once pride and joys.

"I guess I have to do what I have to do," he thought to himself. With a heart-felt sigh, Lawf gently pried the Ones off his feet and carefully and quite lovingly threw them in the trash.

"What am I to do now," Lawf asked his brother, "I can't just walk around single," he muttered as he pointed to his feet.

"Not to worry little brother, I got you covered. Close your eyes."

Although slightly disbelieving, Lawf closed his eyes. His brother was a true shoe guru, and if he said he had Lawf covered, it was undoubtedly true.

"Okay, you can open your eyes," his brother said.

So Lawf did just that, and the sight he saw was so beautiful, so gorgeous, it brought tears to his eyes and a tingle to his toes:

"Oh big bro," Lawf cried, "they're...they're so beautiful! I don't know if I can choose any specific one!"

"Choose," his big brother asked, "who said you had to choose one?"

"What do you mean?" Lawf whispered.

"Welcome," his brother whispered back, "to your love affair with footwear."

Nike Zoom Harbour SB- Fish

These sure are a catch (get it? because they're called the Fish edition)...hahaha...haha...ha...UM...I'll stick to blogging...

Anyways...I'm really feeling these a little bit. The color scheme is very warm, what with the sexy pastel green fish scale pattern, the light pink rim, and the white outlining. And with the warm weather soon approaching, a purchase like this will be anything but fishy (okay, okay, I'm done).

Adidas Doley Low

iRocks with these summertime beauties. The swirl patterns give these shoes a lot of workability that other kicks lack. Outfits can either play on the straight color or can work with the secondary color of the kicks and compliment the shoes (as I'm sure all of you fashionistas and fashionistos already knew). The white base of these sneakers gives them the typical "summer clean" look that many shoes are going for, and if you are on your "I'm a big kid now *boop* *boop*" and can keep these shoes crisp, this will be a NICE purchase.

P.S.

The fact that they are Adidas instead of one of the more "mainstream" brands is NOT a downside; in fact, in a fashionably forward setting, it may set the wearer apart and above some of the other Nike/Supra/DC heads. Mmmm...how does that taste?
