Bape Mandals.....?

I guess BAPE is just trying to hit all avenues of footwear these days. Once again, they continue to bite the structure of other shoes and just add their own twist. These are just whoa. I can't really see anybody wearing/and or pulling these off. Then again, Pharrell will most likely throw em on with a Billionaire Boys Club tee, some Ice cream cargos, and some shades. Then go strolling down the beach and be the flyest thing with a pulse. I don't know though, these are pretty questionable. Bape Crocs coming soon....?

What's Next?

Apparently Supra decided to take a little play out of the Jordan playbook and come out with baby sized sneakers. Babies can now be fly as hell before they even completely understand what a shoe is. I don't like the move of making baby shoes though. I think it compromises the overall effect of the brand. Supra is already dying out in my opinion. I bought one pair a while back, and that will probably be the last I buy (unless they just come out with a must have). The possible eventual release of more "hot kicks" for infants poses the question, what's next? Infant g-shocks, infant ray bans, infant levi skinnys? Who knows....

Bape Bouncing Back

After some very questionable releases from BAPE in the past few months, they appear to be back on track with these. With Nigo stepping down, and their releases following his resignation not being very "BAPE like," one would have had reason to be concerned for BAPE's direction. I guess every company is allowed a few slip ups. These are definitely a hot release. These type of releases prove more and more that Timberland boots are buried in the same grave yard as Air Force Ones. Rest In Peace to both of those previously hot shoe brands. These Bapes, known as the "Manhunt Boots," would be a very nice look for the winter. Props to you if you can cop a pair...

R.I.P

The "Nike Air Force 1 Fish Scale Print Pack" will be a part of Nike's Fall 2009 collection. I don't understand how Nike can release shoes such as premium SB Blazers, Yeezys, and premium SB dunks; and then add these atrocities to the mix. Fish scales? Come on. Scales and/or print of any animal do not belong on footwear. I feel like Air Force One has lived its life, and it is now time to just go on to its after life. Remember those days that you just had to have a fresh white and black pair? Air Force Ones used to be the s#!t. They also carried so many different names. It seemed like each city had their own individual name for them. New Orleans--"Gnikes"; New York City--"Uptowns"; Shreveport--"forces" (lol); ???---"ones". So whether you called them Gnikes or uptowns, I think it is safe to say that you probably don't call them anything now since they are not even warm anymore.

The ruining of Classics...

If nobody is aware, I feel that fusions are one of the worst sneakers ever made. I hate fusions. It's like they are combining a lamborghini with a corolla. You just don't do that. I hate fusions. They compromise the legacy of the Jordan sneaker. I just hate them. Did I mention I hate fusions? lol

Anyway, these have to be the worst I've seen yet. So I just had to make a post. Dubbed the "Air Jordan Force Fusion XIII," these combine Air Force Ones with possibly the most recognized Jordan of all time. Putting a velcro strap on 13s?? Come on Nike. If I didn't follow sneakers, I'd swear these came from one of those "factory variant" sneaker sites like cankicks.com or somethin'. The White/Black Varsity Red don't drop until November 21, and the Black/Varsity Red-White don't drop until December 19. So thankfully I won't have the possibility of seeing someone rock these atrocities for a while.

Going against the norms...

Vans has seriously been coming hard lately. If you follow LAWF you will notice that they come with A LOT of different designs. This pick, dubbed the "Cojo" may turn some Vans regular heads. The model is simple, but different. These will come in a suede or herringbone upper. The sole even consists of renewable charcoal lining which make them eco-friendly. So let's help the environment and cop these...LAWF

P.S. October/November will be big months for LAWF. Yall know the motto...but in case you dont, "Keep your eyes open, and keep being unfaithful..."

Giuliano Fujiwara Kicks

Hey all you new-fangled kicksters! If you know anything about Shoegame, you know that your footwear collection isn't complete without some completely off-the-wall, argueably "not-even sneaker"-esque shoes. I don't know about you, but I love these shoes. They don't look like anything I'd ever consider wearing, and I'm really big on doing the unexpected (even if the unexpected is unexpected by me).
They have a sleek rainboot look that is...honestly...kind of ugly...and I like it. The European flair reeks of modernity...giving the wearer an elegance that many shoes lack because of the orthodoxy that is involved in designing them. I feel as though these will turn heads, raise whispers from onlookers, and hell, who knows...if you're lucky, you may even gain a few new haters. But they are extremely individualistic, and if you feel them, you feel them.

More From Giuliano Fujiwara...enjoy...destroy...Draco Malfoy...whatever.
