Visvim

Visvim.com is a new online shoe outlet I discovered. You will find a wide range of fashionable shoes that are sure to catch many an eye, because...quite frankly...they're quite freaky. From boat shoes to high tops to suede clogs to slip on women sandals, Visvim does it like no other. These kicks are honestly some of the most originally designed footwear I've seen in a quite while and even if they aren't as "main-stream" as some of the more well-known shoe brands, they actually s*** on most of the things people these days call shoes. Check out Visvim now, in time to cop while they have the holiday sales going on. Some kicks are going for as much as 49% off (why not 50, I have no idea) dropping prices of $350.00 down to as little as 179.88. *gasp* And if you find these prices outside of your pockets grasp, honestly you can still enjoy these shoes as eye candy, because you'll definitely see a pair on my feet in the near future. Rock with me.

The Space Jams

I am not really a big fan of Jordans. I've maybe had 5 pairs in my entire lifetime. Each of those pairs were used for hooping; not casual wear. But as X-mas '10 approached, I had yet to think of something that I wanted until I had a long conversation with a good friend of mine. She is an avid sneakerhead and she was explaining to me the magnitude of December 23rd. I told her once again that I am not a big Jordan guy, but she insisted it did not matter because...."These are the Space Jams ma nigga."

After listening to her very convincing argument, and doing some independent research, I have decided that these are what I want for X-mas '10. The shoes are probably the most coveted Jordans ever made. Sneaker blogs have been talking about this release since late 2008. The release date has been moved several times, but it is now officially set for December 23rd.

For those who know nothing about the ever so desired Space Jams, here is a little background info:

The official name is the Air Jordan XI Retro (Black/Varsity Royal-White). The XIs were originally released in 1995. They were the first shoe that Jordan wore following his first retirement. The Bulls went an NBA record 72-10 that year, which helps contribute to the shoe's popularity.

The shoes received the "Space Jam" moniker after they were worn in the legendary 90s movie, Space Jam. When Jordan rocked the shoes in the movie as Bugs Bunny's right hand man, the jumpan logo was purple. When the shoes were released to the general public in late 2000 with a blue jumpman logo rather than purple, they were quickly soaked up by consumers. December 23rd will be the first release of the shoe since.

The Space Jams could previously be found on eBay for close to $1000. This proves the shoe's value. So in essence, by purchasing the shoe on Dec 23rd, you could be making a sound investment. So whether you are a sneakerhead who will rock these in the streets; or a collector who will keep these in the closet (like some friends I know lol); or just a random dude who wants to make a profit in a couple months/years...these shoes are a must have on Dec. 23rd. I'll be at my local store at 8 am on the 23rd...will you?

Oh yea...P.S.--LAWF just had a come up yall. The bulk order of the LAWF snap backs will be ordered soon (end of the month soon!). 120 hats will be available. They will be placed on the LAWF online store as soon as they are ordered. They will be on sale for $25. Just keep the eyes open...

Tim Duncan + Swagged out shoes = Oxymoron

Yes...the most boring player in the NBA now has some of the most unique and swagged out shoes to date. Tim Duncan, the San Antonio Spurs' all-star power forward, has had pics of his latest player edition kicks leaked. The shoes, known as the TS Commander LT Skeletals, were originally created as a halloween promotion. Duncan apparently liked the shoes so much that he continued to rock them.

And why blame him? These are pretty dope. The top of the shoe features the bone structure of Tim's foot; the sole of the shoe also sports Tim's bones. The shoes are currently only available for Tim (and his closet homies I'm sure). But they could be produced for the public soon...just keep the eyes open. If these go for public sale, I will certainly need these for hooping.

You will be put on the list. I need just 70 orders to go ahead and make a bulk order. The hat will go for $25. I feel like that's nothing for this wonderful creation. Then again....I may be a little biased (lol).

But if you send your name to the email above, you will be put on the list and have the first chance to buy the hat. This also means you will get yours before anybody else.

Wale--Attention Deficit

Wale's inaugural album, Attention Deficit, just hit stores today. I am dying to cop this album. XXL magazine apparently gave it an "XL" (out of possible XXL) rating. All of my friends who got the leak say its dope. I've been on this whole, "I will not listen/support leaks thing" for a while; and I decided to keep it up for Wale's album. After calling all the big name spots, I finally found it at some small spot in Little Five Points. Hopefully I can find a ride and get it today. This new wave of hip-hop is so exciting. I think XXL's Class of '09 freshman will go down as THE strongest class for years to come...Wale, Curren$y, B.O.B., Asher Roth, Kid Cudi?? Come on now...who's coppin the Wale album....and when I say cop I mean either iTunes OR an actual HARD copy...
P.S.--Sorry for the delay between posts. It's been an EXTREMELY busy year so far. Hopefully all my hard work will pay off and yall will see the results...till then...LAWF.
Snap back samples coming soon....pics coming soon....YEEEEEEEEEEEEEA

Alife Chuck

I'm not feelin these as much as I would have a year or two ago. As each shoe only boast one color, there is a clear lack of variation. Some people may be able to pull them off though. I'll stick to the tan and brown colored chukka boots. You can't go wrong with those. I can't say the same for these...

LAWF Hats have been ordered. Sorry folks. Only a couple samples ordered for the homies this time around. You will hopefully have a chance to order your own soon. In case yall forgot what they look like, expect a post to remind yall.

The Fall of Supra

Here are some pics from Supra's '09 holiday line. I mean they're aiiiiiiiiiiight. What happened Supra? Oh how one was once so hot? It's crazy how things are literally hot one semester and not the next. I was big on supra last fall. Now...you probably won't ever catch me in a pair. I'm glad I didn't OD on em like some people. Fill my closet with hella supras and then be SOL. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I'm going to blog one day about the ever evolving trend of kicks. It's crazy. Till then.....LAWF.

Hats coming soon. Girls tees coming soon. Hella sh%#t coming soon. So you know the phrase...for those who don't....just keep your eyes open, and keep being unfaithful

Curren$y performs in Atlanta/I meet Curren$y

For those who don't know, Atlanta hosted/is still hosting their yearly hip hop festival this weekend. The festival is known as the "A3C Hip Hop Festival." It features 150+ artists at 33 different events. Friday night at "The Five Spot" in little five points, my favorite artist in the game, Curren$y peformed. He was the second to last act of the night.

The show featured a number of "up and comers." Me and my dude Jamal became cool with one of the acts that performed before Curren$y. Dude's name was "Mike Terror." Him and his dj rolled around Atlanta with us before the show. Shit was completely random, but it was cool as hell.

Anyway, Spitta hit the stage around 1:30. As soon as he hopped on stage, I knew the shit was gonna be epic.

Spitta rapped all the faves. "Spit Vicious", "Blown Away", and "Modern day Hippie" just to name a few. He even rapped a few tracks from his mixtape with Wiz Kalifah, How Fly. The whole concert, I was standing above the crowd as I rapped to every track that he performed.

After he finished his performance, he left the stage. I was just chillin waitin on Jamal so we could roll out.

All the sudden I see Curren$y coming towards me. I was hoping I'd get the chance to dap him up and say good show.

I noticed as some other people were trying to talk to him, but he really wasn't payin attention to them. He pointed at me and said, "Im tryna holla at that nigga right there."

Dude comes up to me, daps me up, and says, "I do this shit for you." That shit was the cap to an amazing night.

That's why he's the fave. Not many artists do that these days. In all the commotion of mainstream rap, artists tend to lose that true connection with their fans. This dude peeped me in the crowd as a dedicated fan during his show, and then found me after just to let me know he peeped the dedication.

Shouts out to Curren$y for an amazing show. I was salty as hell though because my phone AND camera died so I didn't get a pic. But its all good. That surely won't be the last time I see Spitta live. Next time a pic will definitely be taken.
